Dear See’s Family,

Lollypalooza … Celebrating Dogust … Peanut Butter Footballs … For a century-old candy company sometimes called a ‘nostalgia brand,’ we’re here to say — See’s Candies is happening!

We greatly respect our customers, and because so many of you have been with us for decades, we focus on meeting your expectations daily. We do that by continuing to hold the highest standards in the quality of our candy and providing you with the best service. At the same time, we want to give you new ways to feel the joy of See’s and bring new customers to this great brand.

Lollypalooza was a first-ever celebration of all of our Lollypop flavors. We make all of our Lollypops in one facility here in the San Francisco Bay Area. While it may sound simple to make 13 different flavors of Lollypops, and offer them all at the same time, it actually takes a symphony of coordination. And, while our production team is the orchestra that picks up those instruments to play that beautiful music, we do have limitations on what can be produced at any one time. So, we are proud of the accomplishment, and more importantly, thrilled at the response you gave us for the idea, the beautiful box, and being able to get all flavors at once.

Similarly, we kicked off our celebration of Dogust last month, which designates Aug. 1 as the given birthday of shelter dogs with unknown birthdays. We really enjoyed interacting with you about your love of our furry friends. The social media pictures and posts from customers have been amazing. In turn, See’s supported the ASPCA® and recognized the valuable role shelters and humane societies play to take care of animals in our communities that need furever homes.

We also introduced our Peanut Butter Footballs, which are so fun and dangerously delicious. As an American company, we have to recognize that football has really become America’s game. Because See’s has always been about gathering people together for joy, we knew we had to find a way to be at football watch parties, and even tailgates and games. So, America, we’re happy to say — you’re welcome, and please enjoy!

This month, we will be celebrating our founder Mary See’s birthday. September 16 marks what would have been her 169th birthday. Her passion for crafting confections using only the highest quality ingredients still resonates in our motto, Quality Without Compromise. Mary See is the heartbeat of our legacy, and we're proud to carry that legacy forward.

Finally, while summer is coming to an end, the holiday season is quickly approaching, and there is so much to look forward to.
